Why we built Anan
Cost should never be the reason someone has no voice. We wanted a communicator’s voice that is free forever and never locks, that runs on the phone, tablet or Chromebook a family already owns, and that keeps everything private on the device.
Anan is made by Vispire Corp Pty Ltd, and is designed to be set up and used under speech-pathology guidance. We made it free because communication shouldn’t depend on a $3,000 device.

On testimonials
Anan is an early, actively co-designed tool — not a finished clinical product. As families and speech pathologists use it, their consented feedback will appear here. We’d rather show you the real app than borrowed words — which is why the interactive demo on this site is the actual product, and every screenshot is the real interface.
Safe, ethical use
Anan is an accessibility and co-design tool, not a registered medical device or a substitute for assessment. Vocabulary should be configured with the communicator and under speech-pathology governance — the person’s own voice is never gated. By default your data stays on the device: the built-in voices work entirely on your device, and the only things that leave it are an optional end-to-end-encrypted backup, and the optional Natural Voices (online) which send the text to be spoken to a voice service when a carer turns them on.
